eavesdropper bus hopper

i'm a great supporter of public transport, i take the bus to and from work almost everyday for the past 5 years. if i have to travel out of town for work, i take the train. its not that i dont know how to drive. i was a good driver; those days there was no sat nav but i knew most roads at my fingertips. some friends said i can be a taxi driver when i retire. now i dont drive because i dont have a licence and i refuse to sit for the driving test. if i have to go out during the weekend, then i have my significant other who's ever so willing to drive me around. if anything happens to my significant other in the middle of the nite and needs medical attention, i will call 999 for help.

i live in the suburb on the outskirt of nottsville, its 3 miles away from work.  the bus ride takes roughly 20 minutes each way depending on what time i leave home/work and the traffic. on a bad day, the journey may take 30 minutes. when i'm on the bus, i can't simply shut myself in my own world and become deaf and blind to the surrounding.

during the 20 or 30 minutes journey, i get to see fellow commuters of various age groups, ethnic, social and religious background. sometimes i see the same people day in day out. i overhear lots of interesting conversations too - people talking on the mobile phones with their friends/families, or talking to the people sitting next to them - could be their friends, family members or complete strangers. yeah i'm a self confessed eavesdropper and people watcher.

this blog was created to share with you what i see and hear during my daily bus rides, occassional train rides and daily wanderings with my family. the names and places in this blog has been changed to protect the identities of the victims of circumstances whereby i shall name them as my imagination describes their characters best.

some of the posts can be a bit distasteful, revolting and offensive and may not suit everybody's palette but as the famous "Lauren Cooper" said - "am i  bovvered??"
